Petit Four Legs ‘Leaves No Pawprint’ with New Holiday Dog Treats in Eco-Friendly Gift Packaging
Seattle, WA (July 23, 2009) Just in time for the holidays, dog-owners have a ‘greener’ option when it comes to gift-giving for their pets this year. Petit Four Legs is launching two new handcrafted holiday dog treats in eco-friendly packaging this Fall.
Petit Four Legs’ new holiday products are:
- Gingerbread Men by Petit Four Legs: Handmade with natural and organic ingredients from small family-owned farms, these delicious treats are packaged in eco-friendly gift boxes. The treats are corn, soy, and wheat-free so that they can be enjoyed by dogs with allergies and the packaging is made from recyclable (the exterior box), compostable (the interior bag), and tree- free (the label) material.
- Hanukkah Coins by Petit Four Legs: Why should Christmas have all the fun? After the mother- in-law of Petit Four Legs’ Head Chef complained that there weren’t any packaged dog treats specifically for Hanukkah, the staff at Petit Four Legs went to work developing a treat that resembles the popular Hanukkah ‘gelt’ for humans. Made from dog-safe carob, these treats are corn, soy, and wheat-free and are packaged in eco-friendly gift bags. The gift bags themselves are compostable, the gold foil wrapper on each treat is recyclable, and the label is made from recycled paper and printed with soy-based inks.
“We have always been committed to not only making safe and tasty dog treats, but to also being a good corporate citizen,” says Jennifer Lewis, Petit Four Legs Head Chef. “To that end, we’ve spent the past year in development working to create treats that ‘Leave No Pawprint’ on the environment with regards to the ingredients we use and the packaging we design. We’re really excited about these treats and feel that in combination with our existing product line we can now offer retailers something for all of their holiday dog treat shoppers.”
Petit Four Legs new treats will be available this fall at pet boutiques nationwide and online at www.petitfourlegs.com.
